Frequently asked questions

How can I get an idea of the customs clearance time for my goods?

Please send us your documents: Commercial Invoice + Packing List + RNE (Trade Register) + Tax ID (Patente) + Technical Data Sheet. One of our customs brokers will conduct a study and provide you with our feedback and a quote.

Do I need to open an import title before customs clearance?

Yes, indeed. Every import must be subject to an import title opened via the TTN (Tunisia Trade Net) system, as the system connects Customs and your bank to ensure the information is consistent.

Why should I use Mohab for my customs clearance?

Mohab Logistics is a licensed customs broker with over 50 years of expertise. We have a deep understanding of Tunisia's complex foreign trade regulations, helping you avoid costly delays, administrative hurdles, or customs penalties.

Which customs offices do you operate in?

We have dedicated on-site teams in Tunisia’s key transit points: the Port of Rades, the Port of La Goulette, Tunis-Carthage Airport, and major land borders with Algeria and Libya.

What documents are essential for customs clearance?

The standard requirements include the commercial invoice, packing list, transport document (B/L, AWB, or CMR), and the foreign trade title. Depending on the goods, specific technical or sanitary certificates may also be required.

Do you handle special customs procedures?

Absolutely. We manage temporary admissions, bonded warehousing, inward processing, and duty exemption files for large-scale investment projects.

How are customs clearance fees calculated?

Costs consist of government-imposed duties and taxes (based on the current customs tariff) plus our service fees, which depend on the complexity of the file and the volume of the shipment.
